Privacy Policy
Last updated: May 30, 2026
Welcome to meiki.dev (the "Site"). Your privacy matters to me. This page explains what information the Site collects, how it is used, and what processing third-party services may perform when you visit. By continuing to use the Site, you agree to the practices described in this Privacy Policy.
1. Information the Site Collects
This is a personal technical blog. It does not require registration, has no user accounts, and does not actively ask for personal identifying information such as your name or phone number. During your visit, two kinds of information may be involved:
- Access log data: like almost every website, the provider that hosts the Site (see "Third-Party Services" below) automatically records technical logs such as your IP address, browser type, operating system, time of access, referring page, and the pages you visit. This data is used to keep the Site secure, troubleshoot issues, and measure traffic. It is not used to identify you personally.
- Local storage: the Site stores a single "theme preference" (light / dark) in your browser's local storage so that your chosen appearance persists on your next visit. This data is kept only on your device and is never uploaded to any server. You can remove it at any time by clearing your browser data.
2. Cookies and Similar Technologies
Cookies are small text files that a website stores in your browser. The Site's own features do not rely on tracking cookies, but the third-party services it uses (advertising in particular) may set cookies on your device. You can manage or disable cookies in your browser settings, though doing so may affect certain features or the relevance of the ads you see.
3. Third-Party Services
To operate and maintain the Site, it relies on the following third-party services, each of which has its own privacy policy:
- Cloudflare: the Site is hosted and delivered through Cloudflare's content delivery network (CDN) and security protection, and Cloudflare processes the access log data described above. See the Cloudflare Privacy Policy.
- Google AdSense (advertising): the Site may display ads served by Google, as described in the next section.
4. Google AdSense and Third-Party Advertising
The Site may use Google AdSense to display ads. Regarding advertising-related data processing, please note the following:
- As a third-party vendor, Google uses cookies to serve ads on the Site.
- Google's use of advertising cookies enables it and its partners to serve ads to you based on your visit to this Site and/or other sites on the internet.
- You may opt out of personalized advertising by visiting Google Ads Settings. Alternatively, you can opt out of some third-party vendors' use of cookies for personalized advertising by visiting www.aboutads.info.
- The third-party ad networks and vendors used on the Site may also use cookies, web beacons, and similar technologies to measure ad effectiveness and serve more relevant ads. The Site has no access to or control over the cookies used by these third parties.
- For more on how Google uses data from sites that use its services, see Google's explanation and the Google Privacy Policy.
5. Third-Party Links
Posts on the Site may contain links to other websites (such as official docs, GitHub repositories, or video platforms). Once you click away from the Site, this Privacy Policy no longer applies. The Site is not responsible for the content or privacy practices of those external sites, and you should review their respective privacy policies.
6. Data Security
The Site is served over HTTPS and relies on Cloudflare for baseline security protection. Please understand, however, that no method of transmission or storage over the internet is 100% secure. I make reasonable efforts to protect the relevant information but cannot offer an absolute guarantee.
7. Children's Privacy
The Site is aimed at technology enthusiasts. Its content is not directed at children under 13, and it does not knowingly collect personal information from children. If you believe such information has been collected unintentionally, please contact me using the details below and I will delete it as soon as possible.
8. Changes to This Policy
This Privacy Policy may be updated from time to time. Any changes will be posted on this page, with the "Last updated" date at the top revised accordingly. You are encouraged to review this page periodically to stay informed of the latest practices.
9. Contact
