Data we collect

  • Location — Used only to look up nearby air quality stations via the WAQI API. Your coordinates are sent directly to WAQI's servers and are not stored by Kuuki.
  • Saved cities — Stored locally on your device using UserDefaults. Never uploaded to any server.
  • Language preference — Stored locally on your device. Never shared.

Data we do not collect

  • No accounts or registration of any kind.
  • No analytics, crash reporting, or behavioral tracking.
  • No advertising or third-party SDKs.
  • No personal information (name, email, device identifiers).

Third-party services

Kuuki uses the World Air Quality Index (WAQI) API to fetch air quality data. When you request AQI for a location, your device sends that location's coordinates to WAQI's servers. Please refer to WAQI's privacy policy for details on how they handle this data.

Widget data

The home screen widget reads AQI data from a shared App Group container on your device. This data is never transmitted off-device by Kuuki.
