Sububble is an iOS, iPadOS and macOS app for tracking subscriptions, made by meiki ("I", "me"). In short: Sububble does not collect any of your data. I can't see which subscriptions you track or how much you spend.
1. Where your data is stored
- Subscriptions, charge history and reminders are stored on your device. If you turn on iCloud sync in Settings, they are stored in the private database of your own iCloud account, which only you can access. iCloud is provided by Apple under the Apple Privacy Policy.
- Bills you scan, photos you pick and files you import are read on your device with Apple's Vision framework and, where available, Apple Intelligence. They are never uploaded, and the app does not keep a copy after reading them.
- Settings and preferences are stored on your device.
- Widgets read a summary of your subscriptions from a container shared between the app and its widgets on your device. It never leaves your device.
2. What Sububble does not collect
- No account or sign-up.
- No analytics, crash reporting or tracking of any kind.
- No advertising and no third-party SDKs.
3. Network requests
Sububble makes only these requests, and none of them include anything that identifies you:
- App icons: when you add a subscription, its name and your App Store country are sent to Apple's iTunes Search API to find the matching app icon.
- Exchange rates: public currency rates are downloaded from ExchangeRate-API about once a day. No information about you or your subscriptions is sent.
4. Permissions
- Camera: used only when you choose to scan a bill. The scan is read on your device.
- Photos: through the system photo picker, Sububble can read only the image you choose.
- Notifications: used for renewal reminders, which are scheduled on your device.
5. Exporting and deleting your data
You can export your subscriptions as a CSV file at any time from Settings. "Delete all data" in Settings removes your subscriptions, charge history and reminders from the app, and deleting the app removes its data from your device. To remove the copy kept in iCloud as well, go to Settings › your name › iCloud › Manage Storage on your iPhone and delete Sububble's data.
6. Children's privacy
Sububble does not collect personal information from anyone, including children under 13.
7. Changes to this policy
If this policy changes, the new version will be posted on this page with an updated date at the top.
